A few of these mushrooms have been growing in my garden recently, so I thought I would try to ID it. My guess is that it's a Lepiota sp., but I don't really know. It's a nice looking mushroom anyway

Habitat: Soil/detritus - growing under an ornamental plum (Prunus sp.?).
Gills: White, free, close.
Stem: Whitish with radial brown scales, slightly enlarged at base. length - 40mm. Width - 5mm.
Cap: Convex, upturned with age, white with radial brown scales, brown at centre, not hygrophanous, 40mm in diameter.
Odour: pleasant, mushroom
Location: found in Victoria, Australia (Goldfields).

- here is a (bad) pic of the cap. It looks a bit worse for wear (possum damage).
My camera went flat after that, so thats all the photos I have so far.

I am not saying this is what it is, but the top kinda looks like this chlorophyllium (sp?) I found. I think there is a pic in my sig. Again I am not saying thats what it is, just making an observation!

I think that Chlorophyllum (and Macrolepiota) are much larger than this. The cap is only 4cm wide. But they do look similar.
