Mentor Program

I'm only going on what I have seen myself on the boards, but wouldn't it be beneficial to have some kind of Mentoring program. Whereby newbies can have the attention of a more experienced grower to help them get started, i.e. suggesting resources, teks, alternatives etc. And not necessarily just in cultivation but in the other areas of the whole mushroom scene.
I know you can find out most of what you need in the forums, but a lot of newbs post what they think are relevant questions and end up getting flamed, given a 1 mushroom rating and don't even get any relevant advice.
Maybe at registration a member could be given the option of obtaining advice from a more experienced member.
I'm not sure how this could be implemented: Mods? Volunteers?
I think it would be beneficial to both sides of the shroomery! There would be less repetitive/inane/stupid posts & newbs could get off to a confident start.
