http://www.dsmz.de/ http://www.dsmz.de/species/fungi.htm <-- for species of fungi
I was searching for info on the Panellus species when I stumbled across this link, they have alot of cultures for sale for 36-51 euro including 11 species of psilocybe
Psilocybe caerulescens Psilocybe caerulescens var. mazatecorum Psilocybe coprophila Psilocybe cubensis Psilocybe cyanescens Psilocybe mexicana Psilocybe semilanceata Psilocybe semperviva Psilocybe squamosa Psilocybe subcubensis Psilocybe zapotecorum
I am not sure if this is where this link belongs but I figured that cultures=advanced mycology procedures. Anyway I dont think that this link would be very much use in any other forum Have fun with it

really cool link on that site is
http://www.dsmz.de/media/media.htm
that's like 700 different media formulas? including one for mycorhyzzae.
http://www.dsmz.de/media/med427.htm
Malt extract 8.0 g Glucose 7.0 g Asparagine 0.5 g Casein hydrolysate 1.0 g KH2PO4 0.5 g MgSO4 x 7 H2O 0.5 g Yeast extract 1.0 g Agar 15.0 g Distilled water 1000.0 ml
pretty rad, i didn't have that formula anywhere.

Hi,
the problem of DSMZ is that they not necesarly have fruitable cultures. Even so, they have some of the original cultures from Heim, which as he showed are fruitable. I think even that BIO got the Psi. semperviva from there, i.e. a 50 year old Heim & Cailleux culture. Hence, you can pay 36 EUR and loose time and work on a culture that may be unfertile after all. Or you could get a great culture, like the Psi. semperviva...
I have spores of Psi. semperviva and Psi. zapotecorum, from fruitbodies y fruited. If you wait until september, you may have some. To get spores of Psi. caerulescens is not difficult at all. I have even some wild prints and am working to fruit this one.
Have fun,

Just be careful with that list -- some of those media recipies are made to be specific to pathogens.
Thanks for the resource!

Hi Elektrolurch,
I would be very pleased if I could obtain some spores of Psi. semperviva and Psi. zapotecorum.

Hi Kuxum,
what experience do you have growing? As I wrote I can send some in 3 month, but only if you already have enough experience growing. If you only have grown Psi. cubensis, then you should try other species that are easier to grow than these two. Especially the zapotecorum are not necessarly easy. The semperviva being a lot easier than the zapotecorum, is still more difficult than cubensis though.

I wouldn't have asked for a spore sample if I won't be able to handle it.
