Icelander taught the volcano about death anxiety and it flippied it's lid.

This made my day. +5 for you

My advice is to find those things that give pleasure and do them often without too much attachment and relax and wait for the show to end.

-Icelander-

I like free markets and all. Truly I do, at least in general, but there needs to be some kind of oversight in recognition of sustainability. Life works the same way, on a bunch of sustainable systems. Why not honor what made us what we are and take some lessons? Nature FTW!

I wanna' know more about the other Icelandic volcano, that might blow too... but it is hard to find info here... all the articles seem to be about air traffic.

Volcanos are cool... and frightening.

I live in the most volcanic region of the world.... good thing too... 'cause they keep blowing ALL THE TIME... thus releasing pressure that would otherwise result in a big eruption.

Heh, that guide was a lot of work in order to discover that 95% of strains are pretty much identical. But fun to learn about it. Thanks for kissing my ass.

On some news show I saw last night, they said it's gon be all good if the volcano stops erupting in a day or two but the last time it went, it supposedly was erupting for 6 months

Eyjafjallajökull is one of the funniest names... in English, I have ever heard... although I must admit it rolls off the tongue.

i live one island over from the active volcano in Hawaii, and I can attest with Cervantes that there are indeed plenty of health effects as a result of living near an active volcano. During periods of increased activity I have breathing issues and I develop some odd pains in my neck & shoulders. Once it settles down or the winds pick up & blow the vog away I am fine again.

Wiccan, where we live there is most likely not a danger to public health at the moment because the ash cloud was high in the athmosphere and particles aren't likely descending so we can breathe them in.

In Britain, the country's Health Protection Agency sounded a quieter alarm, saying they expected a "small fraction of the Icelandic volcanic plume" to reach ground level Friday night and Saturday morning.

Bear in mind that the level of "fijnstof" (airborne fine particulate matter)in much of Holland already is substantial without any fluoride containing sulfuric acid doped shards of glass adding to it.

Sure the situation is mild at this point in time but what if the eruption lasts months, takes a sudden turn from the worse or the wind blows it directly at us?

Sure as a preparedness nut I have my pack of general purpose dust masks and FFP 3 grade ones for when the going gets rough but this could potentially become a shitty situation.

This isn't sahara desert sand, its mostly volcanic glass shards.

Would they tell us, if things got "worrisome"? If a nuke went off over Utrecht they would assure us theres no hazard to public health as it was an airburst :crankey:

No, they wouldn't, our government is one big Illuminati cover-up for all sorts of nasty stuff and it is only concerned with getting the general population wiped out as soon as possible, so they can really rule the world, and this whole volcano thing is just a big scheme to make it seem like an accident, while in reality the Dutch and English governments have struck a deal with the Icelandig bank cartel, which incidentally is also part of the Organization.

Nah, for real, I think there'll be warnings
