Isopropyl Sterilization

Well I was reading the freeze sterilization post and an idea came to me...
Do you think it could be possible to load up your substrate into jars substituting water with Isoprpyl, letting it evaporate, and then injecting sterile water?
I know it would take a very long time and is not even worth it but do you think it would work?

Since vermiculite is porous, I doubt all the alcohol would ever evaporate.

Im outta spores. So the earliest I can try it is if my current grow is successfull and I make a print or it fails and I buy some more. Either way it will be a while.
Hey thanks for the kind words all.

if you're taking grain, then no, I dont think it will kill all of the endospores that grain harbours.
if your talking BRF/verm. jars, then I think it would take days or weeks for all the Iso to evaporate, thus slowing you down a LOT.

I dont think it will take weeks for it to all evaporate, well two weeks at maximum.
I too dont think that this will work for grains but maybe it will I dunno. The only problem I see with this is thinking that all of the isopropyl is evaporated when it is not and innoculating preventing the spores from germinating.
Ok I will test this out as soon as I get some spores. I see some mycelium growth in my jars so I should be able to at least get an isolate.
