There's an old rumour saying caps are more potent. I believe that Aminitas are more potent in the caps, thus the origion of this.

Its funny, because people always fight over the ones with open caps, when they are less potent then the ones that havent started sporulating.

Yes i am also tierd of this q.
Caps are more dense in the center where cap and stem meet..
[that is one reason that it is used for cloning.]
And since its more dense, there is a higher concentration of active alkaloids[IE There is more "flesh" in that compact area], that is where the UL that the caps are more potent comes from.
