It depends on the strain. I had some B strain growing out side and one night the temps dropped to 40 degrees. After waiting a while I figured the cold had killed them. To my surprise they fruited very well with no harm done. It just slowed them down a bit. I'd suggest emailing the spore provider you want to order from and ask about the strain you want to order's growing condition's. Ask them if they have grown it outside. I know Ryche grow's alot of his strains outside. He has some pic's of certain strains grown outside. To be honest it's not so much the cold as it is the hot temp's. That's when I run into problems. But so far even at 40 degree's the B strain still fruits fine.

one would imagine that death occurs at or near freeze. 0*C or 32*F.
