probably not, I reckon most *aborts are due to insufficient nutrients/water, rather than genetics. Though some strains do tend to produce too many pins to support, thus lots of aborts, even from a good fruiting isolate.
so the whole abort thing is partially genetic, but that doesn't mean that any particular abort aborted because of faulty genetics rather than lack of nutrients/water and/too much competition from other pins.
