By seeing it in action and catching myself in that lie most times I went into that fantasy. Now when I try to go there it just feels corny mostly.

I guess if believing it makes you happy why would you want to catch yourself believing it?

IMO you replaced one subjective interpretation with another And for some reason, this second interpretation feels like truth to ya, so you stick with it.
What confuses me is that you also claim there is no truth...

I have subjective truth for myself, based on my best guess, just like anyone. Ultimately one can never know if ones truth is the whole truth or any truth. What's so hard to understand about that?

Seems to me that a knowledge of no truth is only valuable when it prevents someone from putting too much weight into any one subjective truth.
I.e., a fanatical christian would find resistance to criticism opening up when realizing that their opinion on truth is only subjective.
Just seems that people are very quick to jump on the Christian who thinks he's got it right, but not on themselves.

The whole idea of ultimate truth is moot once you acknowledge our limitations. Then it's back to making a best guess on the evidence that is present.
Are you trying to say all beliefs are equal (as far as approximating truth) in this world?

Yes, I am. They may not be equal within an individual, but they are equal in a broader sense. Just because a truth is unequal in MY mind, doesn't make this same truth carry the same weight in another's. What is valued will differ, the knowledge that is used will differ, etc. And by virtue of this, each "truth" carries its own individual weight. All of these truths amount to the same thing -- stabs in the dark.

The human race might have gone extinct long ago if that were true imo.
To say the sabertooth is dangerous and to say it's a sweet pussycat give very different results. Truth being the most likely workable idea as far as living goes. I'm talking practical living here not pie in the sky anything goes mystery forum.

Nice counter
But the truth of what an animal really is, is still up in the air. The Grizzly Man showed that pretty well IMO. Most individuals likely would be incapable of doing what he did. Most people have an individual truth of what a bear is like, and that individual truth keeps them at a safe distance. All the same, that man went and lived with them. WTF is that all about?
The truth of "vicious" animals is just as flexible as anything else IMO
