contam in tea???
    #1237533 -

hypothetically speaking, what would happen if you had some rye berries that had some green, pulled the white, and planted it anyways as an experiment... so then what would happen if it did grow the mushroom??? would it be alright to get a linen teabag and make tea out of it??? would it just pull the psylocybin? or would it pull contams as well???

sorry, a wee bit drunk here, ok, here goes... i'm casing orissa india strain i had some green growth on the rye berries before i cased, but it was only a little spot, i helped "rescue" the white and cased them in sterile cow manure.... now what would happen if that came back in the casing but only took over a small part??? what if the mushrooms still grew, but had some green on their bases??? could i put them in linen teabags and then make tea??? or would that be harmful???

That depends.. how desperate are you?
So you're saying the shrooms themselves had green growing on them? You should definitely cut off the contaminated parts. I don't think making tea with them would be any safer than eating them. Luckily, green is usually quite harmless.

it should be ok, ive eaten a few questionable shrooms with no problems, but its really not the brightest thing to do
