so i know smoking out of an aluminum can is really bad for you. it has a low melting point and gives off bad fumes. my friend just made a steamroller with tin foil for the bowl and im wondering if its the same situation.

Commonly, tin foil is a misnomer for aluminium foil, as tin foil was commercially available before the aluminium counterpart, and some people continue to refer to the new product by the name of the old one.
Tin foil is stiffer than aluminium foil. It tends to give a slight tin taste to food wrapped in it, which is major reason why it has largely been supplanted by aluminium and other materials for wrapping food.
Are you sure you arent talking about aluminum foil?

if you have an apple you can make a small bowl in the top, use a bic pen to make a hole out the side, then leave the pen just barely in the apple. no foil and it is the best tasting weed you will ever smoke.

Welcome to the shroomery!
Forget that whole song and dance, just buy a pipe in a shop or on the net, or buy rolling papers, or a cheap cigar... all much better options than foil.

I love glass and anything rolled with as little paper as possible...but I'll agree that an apple pipe is the best tasting shit ever. Nice moist bowl keeps it burning slow and great tasting, I core out the whole core, turn it on its side and carve a bowl, then it works like a steamroller, and when your dune, you can cut away the ashes and eat the nice resin apple..its usually still chilled if you keep the apple in the fridge mmmm..

Aluminium melts at 2000-3000 degrees. A lighter burns at 1000 degrees MAX. And tin foil isn't in production anymore. It ceased in like the fifties. Alminium is much cheaper and stronger. And it might be lighter as well, but I'm not sure. If you happen to have tin foil, rather than using it, I would find out if their are any collectors who might buy it. You could probably find a collecter of 19th-20th century Americana who might buy it.

Aluminum doesn't vaporize until it's being fully combusted. You should be good as long as it's not on fire, but then again there may be other chemicals in the foil.

From what I read - it wasn't certain whether or not aluminum foil was actually dangerous. We all have a level of aluminum in our bodies and they've found in patients with Alzheimer's have higher levels of aluminum in their bodies. It is unknown whether Alzheimer's contributes to the raised levels or if the raised levels contribute to the development of Alzheimer's.
