Trip off of Mycellium?

My friend has two cakes that are fully colonized and have been in the terrarium with perilite. The one is forming hyphal knots. The other seems to be doing nothing really. I was wondering if you could eat the mycellium or if it even contains psilocybin. Is there a way to trip off of the stalled cake? Its a fully colonized half pint brf cake. The strain is creeper. I hope you can cuz hes gonna give it to me if I can trip off of it.

You can let the cake sit in 100% apple juice and then filter out the cakes and verm and then drink it. Be sure to check if there are contams, dont want to take any of that.

So I wouldn't trip if I ate the mycellium? Its only one stalled cake. I'm wondering if the psilocybin level in it is high enough to make me "high". I don't have any juice handy and would really like to trip tonight. I know its a desperate measure to eat a cake that never produced shrooms, but hey... I'm desperate right now. I need to do some soul searching... LOL I would think if you can extract the psilocybin then you could just ingest the cake and trip just as well, right? I know the verm wouldn't be good for me and I plan on removing most of it. C'mon guys... somebody has to have an intelligent answer for me. Basically, I have 1 half pint creeper cake that is fully colonized and I want to trip off of it. Is it possible? If so, could I just eat the mycellium?

Grind the cake up.
Put it into a jar.
Pour in enough Isopropyl (found next to rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide) so that about 1/2 inch of liquid is over the crumbled cake.
Let that sit for about 3 days giving it a good shake daily.
Pour this mixture slowly through coffee filter and pour liquid in shallow pan.
Squeeze the cakes to get all the liquid out.
Let the liquid evaporate and you should have some relatively pure psilocybin and psilocin left.

well I really wanted to do it tonight. Thats why I was wondering if I could just eat the mycellium and trip. Thats really all I want to know. I've read a lot of extraction teks and all that but its only 1 cake. Thx for the replies!

I am sure you can. But it will be hell to seperate it from vermiculite. That is if he used vermiculite.

I tripped last night on 4 quart sized jars of mycellium my friend had 5 quart sized jars.
we extracted the mycellium with cranberry juice. No visuals but it felt pretty good. Mycellium has a much lower psilocybin content. we watched _the shinning_ and man it was good then we watched willy wonka and the chocolate factory we couldn't stop laughing.

Dude if you want it that bad eat the cake, the vermiculite won't kill you, maybe a stomach ache.

Mycelium is supposed to be as potent as the shroom itself, actually the stalk of the shroom is mycelium (think about it), except it's a dikaryotic mycelium, that means it fused with another acceptable mate (monokariotic) mycelium, which also means it's capable of producing fruits.  Alot of the mycelium in cakes and casings, or what not never gets to combine, or go through somatogamy, therefore making it unable to produce fruits.


Anyway, I think the mycelium would be as potent as the shroom.

Did you crumble or blend the cakes up prior to extraction?  Can you give some details?

If you didn't blend them up well, that might be the reason you didn't trip hard.


Oh and about the shining, the first time I ever saw it, I had taken 6 hits of LSD(Mister Clean, somewhat weak) and later ended up with 2 "Orange TOP's" (XTC) in my stomach.

That movie left me traumatized for months to come.  I would get flashbacks every time I closed my eyes in the shower, and get freaked out.  I kept getting flashbacks to when the chick gets out of showere and her skin peels of, eeeuw.
And the twins, damn I'm getting chills again.

Also the part when the little boy is riding his bike, and see's man in dogsuit sitting inbetween the legs of a guy in a bearsuit, or vica-verca.  That freaked me out.  Looked like they had some gay fetish going on.

I haven't watched the movie since, nor do I really want to.

That's the first time in my adult life that I have been scared soo badly, and still even now I get goosebumps when I talk about it.

Ok enough of this talk.

haha, you wimp. that is one of my all time favorite movies by my all time favorite director. that movie is an absolute masterpiece (have you read the book?). I have watched it well over a hundred times and many times in a very altered state. so has my wife as it is one of those peculiar things we have in common. I suggest you watch it again after reading the book.

Why dont you COLD SHOCK, raise the heat, drop the heat, add humidity DO SOMETHING to help the cakes pin instead of wasting them as your lunch or something

Yea, I guess I am a wimp, but I'll have to read the book, I heard it's even better than the movie, but then again most books are.

I'll prolly watch it again sometime..... when I get more guts to.
Well it's not that bad, but every time I see glimpses of it it reminds me of the feeling I had watching it while i was tripping.
