Hi all,
I had big jars with Golden Teacher und Matias Romero.
I used a substrate made of brown rye, different seeds, vermiculite and so on.. standard.. but i also used LITTLE marjuana seeds, now 3 weeks later, i am birthing my cakes and WOW! one cake had 2 big fat things on it, when it grew it looks like very dense mycelium, but i have ripped it off and it seems to be either ultra high density mycelium OR and thats what i think, some kind of mushroom, because this thing looks inside like mushroom "meat" I'd say to 99% this IS a mushroom but the question is what sort of mushrooms inside a sterilized jar??

intresting what i noted is BOTH those "things" grew around a marjuana seed! the mj seed was like an egg inside!

second thing, there were NO blueing reactions!

it smells like fresh mushroom, but as i said i JUST started birthing and this thing became about 2-3 days later browner so i thought it could be mold but it looks from every part like a real mushroom and the smell is also mushy although many mushrooms have this smell...

has anyone an idea what this is?
Could it be a very strange mutation from mycelium?

PS: there were some yellow drops, alot of them???!?!

Some strains will produce fruits invitro (inside the jar, before being birthed). Were your jars exposed to light while they were colonizing?

Also, some strains are known to produce sclerotia - hardened masses of dense mycelium. However, I believe that the strains you are using do not do this.
