Fanning it defeats the entire purpose of a PMP. With a properly built pmp you dont need to fan.
Nice grow

That's not true at all. Manually fanning passing air over cakes after misting them aids in the evaporation of water from the cake, which is a major pinning trigger.
Any additional FAE after misting will majorly help pinning performance
I have a proper PMP and still fan with excellent results , fanning ALWAYS helps

I still beg to differ, If your getting 7 air exchanges an hour and 100%, the rest is wasted energy.
Hell, you can run the pump like 4 hours a day only and still get compareable results.

Air entering the bottom of the chamber and though perlite is alot different then passing over the surface of the cake.
The results are not the same. I have seen different results from not fanning a PMP and fanning a crap load. You can fan 12 times a day and it would not be a "waste"

Thats why you have the holes in the top, to create an air current . . But i don't think I will convince you nor vice versa

I've seen results like that from a mono tub! IMO no point in a pumpif your going to fan it, just imo.

OK DUDE, here is the proof from the designer of the PMP himself, Magash.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/1303334
He says "The air pump runs non stop. There are 2 small holes at the top for airflow. No fanning just ad water every every 2 weeks. "
Also when you take off the top, your humidity goes way down and takes time to build back up, hence "wasted energy"

The Rh goes back up quickly. Look at a Shotgun people fan them 10+ times a day I used to fan mine every 2 hours at times would you call that a waste.
Humidity builds up fast. like I said I have seen results from not fanning my PmP and fanning it.
Also Magash's PMP thread is 7 years old alot has been learned since then

Maybe just for pinning, but after that, wasted energy.

Not if you have cakes pinning at different times Also keeps contams down and helps evaporate water after you mist since lots of standing water on mushrooms is not a good thing

Your actually keeping all your mushrooms in pristine condition, extremely clean,if you dont do that crap. Makes it much easier to get pristine prints.

Misting is very important and should not be ignored just becuase its in 99% humidity. Misting replaced the water lost from fanning and natural evaporation.
I have never had a problem with taking sterile prints
