I think your beats are legit. Keep up the good work man. What program/setup do you use to make beats?

Hey nice man! more ambient artists, I think theres some real potiential there, some of those need some better beat mechanics tho, they seem like they are really trying to break at points but then never do. Also something I've learned over the years with ambient, is the importance of good intro's outro's, the first 45seconds you really want to seduce the listener, you want them to want to listen to the rest of the track, without a good intro typically people wont listen to the rest. I'm not saying yours aren't good , but I'm saying if you put a lil more attention to those first parts I think you could really have something there. Cool shit tho man, making music is so much fun.!

thanks a ton for the feedback guys!
i actually don't plan on making ambient music. i just cook up whatever's stirring in my mind. i hate labels and part of the reason i make music is to defy genres/labels, but when i am asked wht "kind" of music i make, i just always say "ambient beat shit" lol. but thanks for the advice on the intros and outros!
oh and i use Reason 4, Roland SP-404, dusty vinyl, and M-Audio axiom most of the time. some of those songs are made exclusively with the SP-404 which is my fav piece of hardware (especially with the MPC 2000XL!).
any of you guys produce?

Damn you got a nice setup. I don't produce much but i've made these two decent songs.
My setup consist of Ableton 8 and a korg padkontrol

Yeah thats bascially all I do these days aswell, just couped up in my studio making funky sounds. Althought lately I've been pretty disctracted working on this show for th radio so my production has been lacking.

Quality work, just a bit too down/ambient for my tastes.
Keep doing what you love.

This stuff is really good dude, keep it up for sure.
I think I know what you mean about not planning to make a certain type of music, just letting something out. That's the way I work too.
