For someone who supposedly thinks humans are garbage, and society is fucked up, you certainly support one of the biggest of evils.
Maybe this post was meant to be sarcastic, but meh.

That sounds disgusting.
I cannot handle fast food. The rare (like, 4.) times I've eaten it on road trips, or whatever, I *always* feel like my spine is trying to strangle my stomach for being an idiot.

Ooh, I think absolutely that if you do dumb things you should pretty much expect people to say "Wahl now, that was a dumb thing you did." all the way.
I also think that if you care about someone else and they're doing something ridiculous that judgement is definitely in order. I mean, do what you want and all that - but don't expect me to stand by and watch someone I love mess up their lives without saying anything.
On fast food, it really *is* a big deal.
It's a silent killer and with all the people out there judging others for not being vegan/vegetarian - I really think it's not at all over the top to make the statement that eating that stuff is stupid and (really extra) bad for you.
If that's a judgement call, then OK. I think some things NEED someone to say "What are you doing to yourself?!" because it's all too easy to disregard the fact that you're poisoning yourself when you eat that stuff.
-------------------- This is a whole new path. You cannot use your old map on this new path and if you try you'll only end up lost in the woods. Get a new map.

What's most disturbing is the fatties on motor scooters who are developing road rage.
They don't even travel in normal walking patterns! They just fucking zigzag and trample through people on their wheels of death.
With that amount of weight in it those things should be treated like weapons.

My friend's brother is 400lbs. His clothes are all custom and some of us wonder how he can wash himself or even reach his own penis.
He typically starts his morning with a gallon of ice cream and eats 6-10 times a day. His room is littered with bags of fast food, which one could compare to cigarette butts in an ash tray.
I mean, at what point did you think, "Well fuck it all, I'm 250/300/325/350/375/400 anyway, may as well go ahead?"
He tried exercising once years and years ago and that lasted three days. He's content with it and he's facing diabetes now. He's 24.
He's a real fuckin douchebag when he's not on WoW for 14 hours a day, but I mean, I guess if he's happy he's happy... I just don't understand it at all, especially knowing what we all know now about dietary needs and their specifics.

that looks pretty damn good. i mean, if it was made at home without all the preservatives and shit in KFC's food, i would devour it.
maybe swap out their plastic cheese for some quality pepper jack, ditch the mayo, wrap it all in a big slice of lettuce to keep from getting your hands greasy.

The double down is not going to bring about fattygeddon.
I had to tell the otd guys the same thing, both the big mac, AND the DBQC from mcdonald's make this thing look normal, as far as calorie counts go. And the baconator from wendy's makes the double down look out right healthy.
No one freaked out over all these other fast food items that are even worse for you.
Why is the focus on this particular dish? Oh no , some fried chicken, some bacon, and some sauce, with a little cheese. Sounds like a lot of breakfasts to me.
Calories. Double down fried/grilled: 540/460 Big Mac: 576 DBQC: 740(!!!!!) Baconator: 860(:faint:)
Hippies and healthfreaks like to go wild over this type of stuff and try and make us all feel bad for eating things that taste good.
Just like neocons go apeshit when an amusement park has a "gay-day" it's seen as an affront to their very way of life.
I'm ready to continue eating KFC in moderation, like I always have.
More for me.

I don't know which "hippies and healthfreaks" you're referring to. Most people I know who comment on fast food culture are bashing on the lifestyle that the corporations market and focus on to sell their products. This significantly affects some to the point where obesity becomes a major issue for them, others have the mental will, emotional stability, and physiology to keep high fat/animal protein consumption in moderation, although statistics in the U.S. point quite to the extreme end of the spectrum.
Why is the focus on this particular dish? Because it's part of a lifestyle culture that is ultimately harming the health of a population. And with the argument of illegal drugs being verboten to protect public health, it just makes the whole story very preposterous indeed.

I have no doubt that fast food is killing Americans/America, I just think all this hoopla over the double-down is unnecessary consider how much worse for you a lot of other fast food is, and has been for years.
If the healthfoodies wanna get mad about something, get mad about the baconator, or maybe some restaurant food like Red Robin's normal cheeseburger which tops out at 900 calories, even more than the baconator! Add in some fries and sugary-syrupy soft drink at you're looking at 1600 calories a meal or more.
Or maybe we should all eat grass and tofu

I'm now allergic to most pesticides and fertilizers. I'm pretty much forced to eat processed (in one way or another) fruits and some veggies. By virtue of even making them edible, I'm destroying any of the real benefits of such natural foods.
Farmer's market.. few weeks.. really can't wait.
Ohhh yeah baby.

Don't act like you don't know who the "hippies and healthfreaks" are.
Is the Baconator not part of the same "fast food culture" when it came out 3 years ago? Or the Quarter pounder when it was introduced in 1971?
So your "lifestyle culture" is superior to theirs? It's that type of condescension that turns so many people away from eating healthy. I mean look at Jamie Oliver's latest fiasco.
You can't just run up to people and take the food out of their hands and say "You dummy, don't you know how bad that is for you? Good thing I came a long. Here, do what I do, I'm right and you're wrong."
There's no need in stirring shit just because they put some cheese on some fried chicken. If it disgusts you, don't eat it.
edit: It sounds like I'm bitchin' specifically at you Altered, I just want you to know I'm not

Absolutely
edit: I'd like to see a world where not ONLY do billboards tell you to eat McDonald's, but they tell you to smoke reefer, and eat nutrient pills ("two a day is all ya need!") and buy your new Ford Spaceliner flying car.
You know, some kind of technologist/humanist/Brave-New-World-with-good-art utopia.
I don't think it's anyone's place but yours, Gonz, to decide what you put in your body.
I will assume, that if the substance is bad for you, that you already know that and don't give a fuck

Its ABSOLUTELY superior, but not in a dick measuring ego-maniacal way. It's superior in that it keeps the body running at optimal form, prevents diseases, and illnesses, minimizes/eliminates the need for doctors/prescriptions, fights depression, etc, etc, etc (while the fast food diet is the antithesis of all I just said). I could go on. It is up to the individual to seek their own truth. I'm not here to babysit anyone, and if people want to live like pigs it's their call.
I don't run up to people and tell them what not to eat. It's funny though because our CULTURE tells people exactly what to eat. How many McDonalds billboards did you see on the way to work this morning?? How many McDonalds did you pass on the way to work???? How many Double Deckers will be sold because of that CNN article alone?
It's funny though. you tell me not to run up and tell people not to put certain things in their body, but if I'm in the park smoking a joint, a cop will UNDOUBTEDLY "run up to me and take it", and then imprison me for me lifestyle choices. Our society is awfully fucking hypocritical, no?

hopefully i get past 3 of em. just so you all rage hardcore because i am clogging my arteries.
(by the way, telling people they cant/shouldnt eat whatever the fuck they want is the same as telling people they cant/shouldnt smoke pot, or eat mushrooms; it isnt your body, dont bitch when the person whose body it is decides they want to put something inside of it. you dont die, so get over it. if you dont like it then dont buy it and eat it.)

what a fucked up world we live in... I was just pondering about how every single gas station is just filled with absolute horrid shit to eat. This is what our society has produced - hundreds of different sugar filled foods to give you diabetes and then make you reliant on the broken health care system. I've been doing my absolute best to eat very healthy and exercise a ton so that I can stay out of this whole system. It's really the only option at this point as far as I'm concerned.

kind of does. that money represents time you spent doing work.
higher quality work = more paper
more paper = you can have nicer things
if we didnt have paper money then we would use hard currency (gold, silver) and the way you got gold and silver back in the day was.... you guessed it.... hard work
that, or if you wanna talk about way back in the day, you bartered for it. and you gained those items you bartered with by..... oh shit... hard work.
if youre poor then its your own fault. cry more about money please. people who have lots of money have more value. its a fact. get over it.

I'm not fighting it - just trying not to participate in a system that is fucking so many people over. To be gung ho about it is just hilarious, though... thanks for the laughs.

"Collapse"
What a great documentary I appreciate you putting up the link for that its a real eye opener and think everyone should see it, it really starts taking off about halfway through when he starts talking about 'collapse' of how our system works
I thought this was a really good graph too, it shows how we've been able to grow with the use of oil so what happens when the oil peaks and starts to drop... what do you think happens to the population part...? I think you can figure that one out

I open this thread to post about how awesome KFC is, and I get greeted by a sociology discussion. I am looking forward to this sandwich, and will go get one the day they go on sale in my area. Its only going to be available for 6 weeks so make sure you get it while it lasts. How the fuck can people not like KFC, the shit is seriously like crack.

I actually ate KFC once or more a day for several months when I was shooting dope. I'd get like 3 ultimate cheese snackers with zinger sauce on them at a clip, and I'd eat it twice if I was feeling it. I'd eat 2 cheese danishes for breakfast to start my day out. I'm not going to make it to 40, lol. As long as I don't get fat though I could really give 2 shits less about how healthy I am.

I can't say I'm disappointed about how I ended up, I just wish I didn't have to put my parents through all that shit. I might end up regretting ever using heroin at some point in my life if I really end up fucking up at some point, but I don't at the moment. I didn't think I'd start using after the last time I stopped, but I love the shit and it usually makes me feel better no matter how bad I feel.
