Damn, son! I think you may have it!
Can you express that in decimal with arabic numerals, so I can verify your answer?

Smack Wins! I got an explaination by PM from him. He claims he cheated, though, but I'm not sure how's that's possible. I already gave him a five a long time ago, but maybe I'll write something nice in his comments... Monday's folk program, on the local college station, is two hours of Arlo Guthrie tonight, on account he's comming to town. I wish I'd have known -- I would have got tickets! The City of New Orleans by Steve Goodman
Riding on the City of New Orleans,
Illinois Central Monday morning rail
Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders,
Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail. All along the southbound odyssey
The train pulls out at Kankakee
Rolls along past houses, farms and fields.
Passin' trains that have no names,
Freight yards full of old black men
And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles.
CHORUS:
Good morning America how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son,
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done.
Dealin' card games with the old men in the club car.
Penny a point ain't no one keepin' score.
Pass the paper bag that holds the bottle
Feel the wheels rumblin' 'neath the floor.
And the sons of pullman porters
And the sons of engineers
Ride their father's magic carpets made of steel.
Mothers with their babes asleep,
Are rockin' to the gentle beat
And the rhythm of the rails is all they feel.
CHORUS
Nighttime on The City of New Orleans,
Changing cars in Memphis, Tennessee.
Half way home, we'll be there by morning
Through the Mississippi darkness
Rolling down to the sea.
And all the towns and people seem
To fade into a bad dream
And the steel rails still ain't heard the news.
The conductor sings his song again,
The passengers will please refrain
This train's got the disappearing railroad blues.
Good night, America, how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son,
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done.

I'm kinda sorry I'm gonna miss him. It's not to late to get tickets, but I'm low on funds, and I don't have anyone to go with, as I just moved here, so I have to let it pass...
He is a great story teller, and is very humorous. I'm sure he'll be back, though -- one thing about Western Oregon, is that we get great musical acts all the time because we're cool!
There are a lot of music fairs and folk festivals around here. This summer is gonna be great!
If anyone is gonna be here in July for that great hippie-fest, started by Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, called the Oregon Country Fair, let me know, and we?ll hook up!

Very true, but then we all know that the Dead and the Pranksters have a very special relationship going back to Palo Alto/La Honda and day one!

Hell, Chinacat, if you're gonna be here for the fair, then we got to definitely hook up!

There's still time. The Oregon Country Fair -- just outside of Eugene, Oregon, -- is not until July.
As the time approaches, Chinacat, or I, should start a thread in the gathering forum. There's also Burning Man, in Nevada, after that...

That looks like a whole heap of fun and then some...
Are the fairgrounds anywhere near the Oregon vortex? A few friends and I want to make a pilgrimage there at some point, maybe this summer!
