I got a couple bhut jolokia seedlings at the moment. It seems this infinity chili is barely hotter, like ferrel said you wont be able to tell the difference.
This little bastard was bred for its hotness. I like that the bhut jolokia is all natural... plus I'm sore for not having the hottest one anymore.

I'm no novice, but I got nothing close to blisters or burns from the very similar jolokia.
I think some people are allergic, based on the reactions I've seen from much milder peppers.

A good way to test if you're allergic to hot chilli is to rub a cut part on the inside of the forearm and wait to see if it blisters or a rash develops.

I've seen people try to play it cool while their face changed colors.
I'm in southern California. A chili pepper was literally my first solid food.
But, I wouldn't do that for anyone.

I was eating hot yellow chilies, orange and wrinkled, and canned habanero with no ill effects.
I don't expect others to injure themselves for my amusement, but some people would.

I was trying to figure out what kind of pepper has the lighter colored spotting.
Also, what would you breed a jolokia with, to make it even hotter?
Might have been a selectively bred, random mutation at only 20,000 SHU difference?

If it were me: I'd breed jalokia with this new one, obtain at least 400 F1 seeds, treat them all with colchicine (aq), grow out all survivors, find a uni student with access to a gas chromatograph, and have her determine the hottest one. One could then patent that clonal line and start breeding out successive generations in order to end up with a mega-hot cultivar as well, and get a PVP certificate on that.
At least I think a F1 clonal line from two PVPed lines is patentable if its also been subject to chromosome doubling.. might wanna check that tho.
By posting the above I now have a default copyright on the idea If anyone actually does it I'll forfeit my claim to the idea for $100
