Millet question

I've been looking for the answer to this damn question forever...if you don't know the answer right off the top of your head than don't bother taking the time to figure it out...I know this is the adv. section and I don't want to waste your time - but if anyone knows how long one should soak birdseed in water before use, then I'd be very appreciative. Thanks either way ~~

or..

if you are in a hurry.. GENTLY simmer it on the stove ( covered in water that is ), for 1 hour, then strain and rinse.. let sit for 45mins, and PC.

ps: Still often while boiling your grain, the bottom seems to soak faster than the grain on top , so mix that grain up !! ie: every 10 minutes or more!!

This is definately not advanced. Please read the forum rules before posting. Read the faq!!!!

1- No OFF-TOPICS or NON-ADVANCED THREADS , so if you have a question about a your PF jars, a contam, a substrate that has already been discussed, grain ratios, a species that has been cultivated ad-nauseum or anything that isn't advanced this isn't the right forum. Threads will be moved or closed, so why wasting time, bandwidth and energy?

3- Use the SEARCH feature. Since most of the questions are already been answered, please so do a search before posting. You can find lot's of useful information, if a moderator is able to find your subject via search, your post will be moved..

This certainly isn't advanced, but you can soak up to 36 hrs if you need to and still get good results most of the time. I always did it for 24-36 hrs at room temps.
