This material appears to have some interesting myco applications.

Testing some now, as a colonizing bulk substrate cover.

I don't think it can be heated in pressure cooker. Did you sterilize it?

Unless they're less than 35 cents each and can be autoclaved, I don't see much of an application in mycology.

Its really odd material. It will hold water, but allows gas exchange on a molecular level. The pore size is so small, contaminate spores could not pass through it.  I started a cherry shrimp tank, and ordered some shrimp from Hong Kong. The bag was sealed and the little baby shrimp arrived alive and healthy.

In a normal plastic bag, even filled with pure oxygen, they would have arrived dead. So, the bags work. Cherry shrimp are prolific, in ideal conditions. After a few months, I had hundreds. I bought some bags, to ship them in to other aquarium shrimp fanciers.

0.35 cents each is about what they cost. They cannot be autoclaved. I sprayed one with oust in a glove box, allowed it to dry, and placed it like a sheet over a colonizing tray of bulk substrate. The object being to allow minimal gas exchange, and as a preventative cover to shield the substrate from ambient air contaminant spores while colonizing.

I would assume, they would also be a good late stage cover for fruits you intend to print. Covering them before the veil breaks, again as a shield against contaminate spore infiltration on the exposed gills.
