pan trop fruiting very very delayed...
    #1230854 - 01/19/03 10:43 AM (15 years, 4 months ago)

i have some pan trops i've been growing no dung. i put them in fruiting conditions (70-75 degrees during the day, 65-70 at night, sunlight 12 hours a day) for about 2 weeks. then a couple days ago i started messing with the variables. i stopped fanning, i tried dropping temps into the 50's for a day, today i'm going to try putting the temp up to 85.

any other ideas? also it seems like some loose spores from my other mushies got into it because there are these patches that look just like normal cube mycilia, could that be whats slowing up my pan trops?

You can check the last post in my journal for contact info.

well I think you can grow them on pure straw (+casing!). That's what you'll find in Stamet's MC.
I'm going to start growing trops'n'cyans next week for the first time , so I can't really say if it's true.

panaeolus cyanescens and trops. fruit usually within a week or so of being cased and introduced to 22C temps and plenty of fanning - infact if they havent begun to form primordia within 10 days it may mean that the tray is contaminated or that the genetics of the isolate is bad.
When i was domesticating an Australian local variety, some isolate would pointblank refuse to fruit at all, while others were amazing.
Grow them on dung or straw. - case with coir mixed with verm.
