Birdeseed Innoculation Question

I have 6 quart jars of birdseed ready to innoculate and was wondering if I shouls shake the jars up before innoculating because there some clumps of birdseed in the jars or is that ok? Also, should I shake the jars a few days after innoculating or no? And, is it alright to pump 3 cc's in each quart jar or is that too much? Thanks.

You can put as much spore solution as you want, but you will be wasting. Also, you shake at 5% and 50%. If it is clumped it shouldn't effect it. PF Tek is one big clump and it works fine.

Definitely! Actually you should have shaken it immediately after PCing while still hot, this prevents the clumping to a high degree.

Of course! The first time immediately after inoculation, then as said above.

1-2 cc should be ok.

Giving the jar a good shake directly after PCing will evenly distribute any water that may have pooled in the jar.

Inoculating with too much solution can cause moisture problems.
