Anyone ever use them to prepare spawn? I'm not sure how big they are yet. But I'm getting like 20 of them soon

They colonize quickly but you need a bunch to do bulk.

Time after time I mentioned that disposable tupperware type containers can be used. These are not too expensive and can be used over a few times before the lid gets deformed from pressure cooking.Even the off brand ones seem to work ok!

Hey Pinhead - tell me a little more about the ziplock containers...they're autoclavable? They seem like a great idea...why wouldn't more people take advantage of them?

How on earth do you get those "baby sized cakes" out of the jars? they aren't wide mouth? How does that work?

Or put it into a bag but be careful not to let the glass shards rip open the bag.

You can also sterilize a screwdriver and then use that to get the substrate out.

lots of people use them, or something similar, they come in all shapes and sizes ,and they are cheap and ez .
put a 1/4" hole in the top and stuff with polyfill, what could be eazier ?

6C yes, you can use in the micro wave if you're carful .(you thinkin fast food of the gods tek?)

edit; make sure you get the clear ones, some of the really cheap brands are hard to see thru .

Nope

But I use baby food jars for making spore syringes.
You can drill a hole in the lid and put some silicone over the hole.
