Is there something "wrong" with desire?

Time is all you got.

Go for long hikes alone, stare at the roof with music on, isolate yourself until you no longer have the burning flame of desire. Keep resisting your desires. It goes away as a kind of self-classical-conditioning.

Find out whose desire isit?
It will be found to be the mind's desire, and you are not the mind
If you see the desire is not truly yours, then how long can you chase it?

When you know your Self, your mind can still chase it, but then its a play
Not a heavy burdensome desire thats consumed your consciousness & robbed you of your peace
Then its just surface movements, wave play
You're forever rooted as the ocean

Know your Self that is not attached to anything, including attachment to removing desire
See you are Moksha itself

Start by availing yourself of the desire not to desire.

Peace?

I think the Buddha said something that can roughly be paraphrased as "do not desire to give up more than you are able" - it implies as long as you perform to your abilities, that is enough. Pushing past that can end negatively.

Well I think you should still have 'desires' but you should purify them so they don't control you, you control them. Then they become 'intensions'. And they're satisfied at your whim, not the other way around, so that if you desire a girl and she is otherwise involved, you can simply brush off the desire. It's about control and ultimately godhood.
