evryone i know has this myth stuck in there head that every that doses peyote barfs for like an hour or so and then is messed up for a rediculous amount of time. like days. i just thought i would get this myth cleared up for myself!

If you can't enjoy throwing up then avoid peyote. You may well be throwing your guts up and feeling like death for a good 8-10 hours. It's not a "fun" drug.

I have never seen anybody get that sick from peyote. (Though I have limited experience.) Mega-high doses of DXM or too much smoked Salvia extract are not fun drugs, but I wouldn't classify peyote that way at all.

i ate 6 buttons once and though they taste fucking awful
i wasnt sick nor were the 2 other people who ate a bit less.
Didnt even get a queezy feeling after eating,only reached a bit
whilst chewing them up bit like i said they do taste bad(sorta reallly
sappy like milk thistle)
These were european grown and were only about 6 to 10 year olds
Not real trip was felt  just very mild changes in perception.)
So these were young and unstrong so cant really coment on
wild ones that should be better

hey just cos some people don't get on with it doesn't mean you should condemn it!
some people get paranoid on pot, some people have bad trips on Mushies, I could go on!
My experience with pyote was very good, it was the first thing I tripped on!
about 2hrs into the trip I did puke but I put that down to the fact that I had just downed 2 cups of tea, I went outside opened my mouth & pint & a half of liquid came out, it lasted all of 30 seconds.
the rest of my trip was fucking fantastic, I cant tell you how long it lasted, my time perception went out of the window it was more than 4 hours tho
plus it made me go outside & appreciate nature!
you don't have to puke, it just unsettles your stomach

Not condeming it. Just pointing out that you take enough mature peyote to get any serious effects you are 99% certain to be throwing your guts up.
4 hours? You sure what you got was peyote? A decent sized dose of mescaline will last more like 15 hours.

If you take a full dose, peyote will definately make you vomit. Mescaline can do that by itself, and the 60-some other alkaloids in peyote cacti will assist in this purpose. It's very hard on the body at first, that's for sure. So your friends got that part right. But they're wrong in that it won't make you trip for three days. Mescaline lasts a hell of a long time, but no more than 14 hours or so at the very, very longest.

I was still tripping when I went to sleep, & I might point out that it would be considered a light dose
It was my first trip!
but you have lost the point of my post!
what I was trying to say was that although I did throwup it was very brief and in no way detremental to my enjoyment of the experience
