Potency by Strain
    #1228760 - 01/18/03 10:06 AM (20 years, 10 months ago)

Is there any truth to what seems to be the common belief that strains like PR's and PESA's are more potent, while B+ and others aren't so potent... or is this all horseshit?

This is pointless - Stivje and DeMeijer have already proven a .3% variation in psilocin between different spore-races of psilocybe cubensis. Its documented fact.

you're missing the point, i think.

if the 0.3% curve overlaps the curve of potential growth, or if that 0.3% is not statistically significant based on the research data used (any mathmos in here) then the poll is valid.

Yes there is a difference in potency between strains of Cubensis.

Example:
Grow Cambodian and Gulf Coast strains of Cubensis.
Same growing conditions...same everything.
Then take 3 grams of the Cambodians...wait 2 weeks and take 3 grams of the Gulf Coast...and compare them...write down the results.

There are strains that more potent than others.
There are strains that are more visual than other strains.

Try the example and find out for your self.

I re-wrote the poll cause the other was confusing.

Is there a difference in potency in strains of Cubensis?
Yes there is a difference
No there is no difference
I haven't tried enough strains to post any conclusions
I am Sir Trips Alot
