Wow, simple, elegant. Easy is usually only achieved after much hard work. One can see you have been working! Shrooms from a noob might not mean much but I love it when the simple truth works its way through all the complications. Five for your insight.

for sure. 3% is the only concentration available to me, I forget to specify.

Ive used peroxide before on tissue and all it did was rot on agar.

There is definitely the risk of killing the sample, yes.

In the RR vid, he uses iodine, apparently far less destructive to tissue than H2O2.
been waitng for an excuse to use that gremlin

Iodine works. The trouble is they no longer sell it in my area anymore because too many people here use it to make meth. You cant even buy pseudoephedrine cold medicines here without a prescription. I can buy iodine online but if I was gonna do that, I might as well buy gentamicin.

You cant even get pseudoephedrine with a prescription here, they will almost never prescribe it, fucking meth heads.

No shit!!!
I have no interest in meth and had no idea iodine was used in the synthesis. Next thing you know they'll be restricting distilled water
I hope that's just in Vegas.

Great tek Cloneufc!
I never had problems with bacteria until very recently, when it seems 1/2 of my clones to agar have some bacteria. Usually the mycelium outruns it and I isolate from the furthest growth from the bacteria, but this tek seems like a sweetly simple way to avoid the bacteria altogether.
Thanks!

It didn't work for me. I tried 5 times and I always failed. No contams, but no growth either. Don't know what to think. Has anybody else tried it? (Clone, we had some disputes in the past. I hope you will not take this post as a personal attack. Just curious. I liked the concept behind this tek).

I have a hard time cloning. The only luck I have had is with this tek and it doesnt always work but works better for me than other cloning teks I have tried. If your not getting any growth in the ziploc bag it probably means it has bacteria or the tissue is too dry.

It's worked for me. So has just chucking in a fresh tissue sample into some WBS.

I've never experienced any problem with cloning, so I guess bacteria might be the culprits in this case I'll try again and let you know if I still have problems. Thanks for your answer

Id bet an empty jar would work as well as a plastic baggy..when I've left grain jars without cleaning them..the myc almost always grows back in the jars..never really thought of doing something like this for a clone before adding it to the nutes..cool idea..gonna try some regular clones along with putting it in a bag and a jar and see if theres any diff.

I tried the jar way first. It dries out the tissue. When you put it in a plastic bag you flatten out the bag and the tissue keeps the right amount of moisture. If the tissue is too wet it will rot.

You know.
I didnt believe you.
I tried a jar.
I believe you now
But I only tried one jar, and I did 4 baggies (this was monday). They look today, so I put them into grain and LC's. And I did some more today, 3 very large fruits (smallest was 71 grams) from an incredible EQ tray..first flush but all were huge like that. Anyway, I took 3 fruits and put 1 piece from each into grain jars, and 1 piece from each into baggies..so we'll see the difference this might make. I have failed alot before putting tissue directly to grain. I think this will help. How many days have you left them sit? I'm thinking I'll leave these sit for five.

I dont place them in the ziploc baggy for any particular time. You remove the tissue when its fuzzy with mycelium all over. I believe it takes on average about 5-6 days.
