getting rid of psilocybin on jars ect?!?..

A friend of mine ordered some stuff a little while ago and had it sent to his po box but when he received it the box seemed to have been opened from the side or tampered with. There was no receipt/invoice, which makes me believe that someone took it for evidence or something. This made him paranoid so he decided to make sure everything is clean and get anything else illegal out of his house. and this comes to my question..
can he destroy any left over psilocybin in the jars by baking it at 400F? I know it degrades pretty fast in heat and oxygen but will it leave any traceable evidence? he doesn't want stop growing mushies but is going to do edibles for a while.

They can't get a warrant from a shipping invoice alone they need probable cause.
sounds like a good idea along with a good cleaning(tiny amounts of bleach) and scrubbing you can't go wrong.

I don't think 400 degree baking will do it.
Try the garbage disposal, compost in the back yard or bag them up and put them into the dumpster at a large apartment complex.
The garbage at a gas station might also be a good bet if you can make it blend in well with all the car trash.

Don't put them in the garbage, that is the first place the police will look. They dumpster dive suspects all the time.

Use a 1:10 bleach:water solution to clean the jars. The bleach will rapidly oxidize any organic material.

I wouldn't trust any chemical to get rid of all the traces of a controlled substance from a colonized jar.

Naw, chlorine will oxidize it away just fine.
Just be sure to clean the jars first so that excess organic material doesn't consume the bleach before it completely oxidizes anything you don't want around.

This thread is dead for a week I know but I have good advice to offer on this subject.
Wear latex gloves, empty the jars into a black trash bag. While keeping the gloves on scrub the jars of any fingerprints, wipe down all contact surfaces. Carefully do this and do not let anything contact anything else that has touched the inside of the jars. Discard anything used into black trash bag. Put jar contents in one bag and jars into another and deposit in separate locations.
Once everything is scrubbed of prints and everything is in black trash bag, double bag each bag and discard across town into random dumpster where you wont be seen, a different dumpster for each bag.
Is this extremely paranoid? Perhaps but nothing will connect you to the jars, on the rare nearly impossible chance they find the bag the last thing you need is prints connecting you to the jars if they have traces of psilocybin.
Btw chlorine oxidizes metal. Using chlorine bleach to clean psilocybin off the metal would corrode it and it wouldnt work too well.Whats the point of only cleaning the jars of psilocybin and not the lids or anything else it may have come into contact with?
if in doubt, chuck it out.
If he's gonna grow edibles instead, just be safe and get new jars theyre cheap especially compared to making a mistake and getting busted for psilocybin if youre wrong along the way anywhere.

A stream wont destroy all the evidence. It is indeed possible for latent finger or palm prints to survive water submersion or exposure in instances where a non-water soluble contaminant was present on the fingers or palms, or already present on the surface touched by the hands. Examples of contaminants are sebaceous gland secretions, cooking oil, motor oil, butter, and peanut butter. In many circumstances, fingerprints deposited in water soluble contaminants and allowed to dry before submersion may survive being submerged in water.
Its a gamble and not one worth taking. If you want to be sure the evidence and link is destroyed, scrub prints and black bag it twice and deposit carefully in a dumpster, without getting caught.
