Hey all,
Im gonna be taking 5g tomorrow, while in a dark room with some soft preferably trippy music playing. I'm taking requests, what music would you guys suggest for a trip of this magnitude.
Thanks,

soft music?
There's the Floatation compilation from interchill records... very psychedelic, calm, chill-out music.
You may want to check out Makyo - Yakshini as well - a great chill album inspired by west-asian styles.
What are your favorite artists?
I can't help but recommend Shpongle - some of it is definately the opposite of relaxing, but its the best tripping music I've come across so far

Pink Floyd has some godly air of mysticism about it, but I think Tool captured the same feeling plus their music seems to have an unrivaled sense of dynamic power.
yea, anyways, For mellow shit I have to make a strong recommendation for the "Dead Man" soundtrack. The whole album is this really trippy guitar soloing with samples from the movie of an indian guy talking, and all sorts of weird atmopsheric sounds in the background.
Really. Check it out. It will bring you to a desert.

Bob Marley is the absolute BEST. my whole room likes to groove to it. For somereason my room didnt like Pink floyd, when it was playing i felt uncomfertable and like the walls were telling me to change it. Sublime rocks to, esspeccilly legalize it and KRS-One, are nice mellow songs for tripping.
