Pink FLoyd Laser Show

I went to see this at the planetarium tonight( I was only baked though). It was awesome, I've never seen so many high people in one room. If you could time your shroom trip accordingly I highly reccomend this.

It was a great atmosphere too, the lady talking beore the show starts says " No smoking please it is hard on the equipment and the light distracts people..............That includes cigarrettes too people." She was baked for sure based on how badly she did her little prepared shpeel.

those pink floyd laser shows are great. they used to show them at the planeterrium here in utah usa, but they are tearing it down so no more laser shows. I quess i just need to find were they still have those show.

They quit doing laser shows at the Denver planetarium because of all the drug use. It was great wile it lasted though. But I hear they are doing laser shows at the Fiske planetarium in Boulder. I'll have to go check it out.

I remember when we first started going to the shows, we where trippin balls this one time and hanging in the lobby before the show. They had one of those black hole coin things that you roll a quarter down and it spirals around till it drops. We walked up to it and dropped a coin in. We were mezmerized by it and didn't notice all these other people had gathered around to watch. If you ever watched one of these trippin you might know how intense it gets when the coin is spinning really fast at the bottom. Anyway we were all so intense on this coin and when it dropped it was such a relief and very funny for some reason. Well these other people all broke out laughing when we did and it scared the shit out of us. I can only figure that they all knew exactly what we were feeling.
They always said that "no smoking of ANYTHING in the spacecraft" speech at our shows too.

I would love to see a Shpongle vs Hallucinogen laser show. I would also like to see one that used more than lasers. I want some colored oil and flashing images combined with laser effects.

The one I saw was Darkside of the moon, and after that she played another song that was 8 minutes or so long( A Floyd Song I have never heard).
The lasers were cool but my buddy agreed that the trippiest thing was you'd be looking up at black space with stars and then at the part of "speak to me breath" where the helicopter crashes a shot of laser shoots directly into your eyes. When the lights would go from completely off to on and coordinated with the music it reallly trips ya out,even your breathing gets affected.

How about when they do the "free fall"? They put the stars up and then start rolling them so it feels like your falling through space.

Yes at the Planet-arium(southpark :smirk:) they play Pink Floyd and Eminem cause he's so popular these days. His was a lot lamer I am told and they just showd inmages of him then did some small laser effects like superman flying around blasting fog mist around.

yeah no planatariums here on the gold coast in oz to, i guess they just havent caught on yet.

I caught the Floyd lazer show out west in Spokane WA. They also have it at the Boston Museum of Science. Fucking awesome show, sober or other...
Eminem would kind of throw things off for me though :crazy:

I don't know..never seen one. I saw TOOL in concert this last summer for the second time on the East Coast. First time was Lolopolooza at the Gorge in WA state. It's a sacred experience...  :grin:
