Let your cakes sit in the FC for 2 days and dont mist it at all. Let the cake dry out a bit then dunk it for 24 hours

how do i get my cakes to produce more than 3 shrooms, do the additives like crushed oyster shell and lime help that? Or am i just unlucky? can i expect more than that for the flushes after? It seems everyones cakes on here get like 10 mushrooms each... especially the first flush

when i prepared one of the cakes for the second dunk, i rinsed it off and a chunk just crumbled off, figured itd still be alright but when it was left in the fruiting chamber the scraped off part got completely covered in cobweb fluff that had blueish green dots all in it so i threw it, it was dunked in the same container as another cake, should i be worried that the other cake will get cobweb?????? it seems like it is getting a tiny bit more fluffy in certain spots but nowhere near the way the other cake had cobweb. misted it with h202 and more parts water just in case.

okay so excuse all my ignorance, the cake been waiting on now has about 15-20 pins on it.... all around the sides! misting alot and fanning more on a regular bases. the cake that previously had many pins before it was birthed has some extra tissue from where the aborts were picked, extremely hard to get it off it seemed to grow into the side n when picked split like string cheese, was rinsed it off good after letting dry out in fc just by only spraying the side it wasnt on, and dunked but the extra tissue left on during the dunk shouldnt be a problem should it?

Pins lookin' alright? Worried about the top looks different shade like a purple. It could just be spores from the big mushroom that recently opened by it. I read that pins producing from the bottom means low humidity? My shitty walmart digital reader says 99% sometimes 98% humidity.

I got some lc from an unreliable source, it is not rhizomorphic, fluffy, blottish grey. In every jar the mycelium starts growing around the circle where the innoc. was made, and the circle inside the mycelium is different than the color of the brf /verm mix outside of the circle. Tell me what you think before throwing all of them out of the incubator, theres a strong sour smell when the incubator is opened. One got green mold in the jar, one cake got green mold the second flush, one cake got pink mold the second flush. I'm down to 2 cakes still producing, which includes the jar that had the yellow which went away! Shotgun is getting verm all over the perlite from when I fan, making it look kinda dirty, should it be cleaned? Thanks for any help.
Also will dish soap clean these jars good enough to be used again with a remaining 4cc's of B+, Used 6cc's for 4 jars, expunged a little too much/too less at each hole, missing one or 2 holes. But very good looking rhizomorphic growth. Going to try to stretch the 4ccs and make 5 or 6 jars.

Those cakes look wet and compact. Sterilize the jars for 60 minutes then dump out and re use them./

Yeah it seems like sludge builds up, but I've used less and less water each time, should it be like 3/4s water compared to brf? And youre saying to just steam sterilize them before opening? But what do you have to say about the mycelium being non rhyzomorphic, blotchy and grey, one out of all of them seems to have all white color holdin on to it to see what happens. A cake that was on its second flush started to get an extremely faint pink color, hardly any just a tiny blotch. as soon as it was noticed was placed in ziploc, crushed it up to see if there was any more, wasnt at all and seemed pretty healthy. Had only one pin on it and was in the fc for almost 4 days, second flush. Cased it with vermiculite that had been sprayed down with 1 part 3% h202, 10 parts water, 1 inch on bottom, half inch on top, the bottom being pretty moist, put it into incubator. Was this a good idea? Just fuckin' around trying not to lose my few cakes.

On second thought the yellow mightve been a contam... It's still there, it has a strong weird undescribable smell right where it is yellow, but on the opposite side of the cake it produced 10 small-medium sized good looking fruits, and that side smells only of mushroom, just dunked... wondering if it will/has already contamed my grow area.

The smell suggests a bacterial contamination.
Dunking might help (clean it off) or hurt (spread it). Worth a try though, I guess? I suggest giving it a good rinse with lots of fresh water, before and after.
