Orientation
    #1224006 - 01/16/03 03:34 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

I don't know man, it's just when I see hello.jpg I start to feel....

oh. uuuuh.....

I mean I have been reading up on STS and STO and I was wondering what I am. I think I am a pretty selfish person all in all. My largest ambition in life is to further my own enlightenment.

On the other hand, I don't hurt other people on purpose, and I do help other people when I don't get anything in return...

I guess I am not really selfish... But I feel like I am since I my goals in life focas on me instead of others...

what am I?

An STS will always put himself before others, and that usually means they will try to manipulate, abuse, and gain control over other people in order to get ahead. An STO cares about his/her enlightenment, but also about others, the STO cares for their own well-being of course, but also that of others. The STO life revolves around love. The STS revolves around fear. If you need further clarification I can help through PM.
You do not have to choose life orientation until you have enough life experience to make the decision. However in order to enter 4th density one must choose one or the other. If you don't have enough life experience to make a dedicated decision, then you stay in 3rd density until you have reached that point.

It may help you to know that 90% of people in the 3rd dimension are undecided... meaning they experience both STO and STS to see which one they like the best. Based on their personal experiences with those two orientations is how they make the decision.

Orientation according to Zetatalk

Technically, we're all STS here on earth. If we weren't, we would die because of not eating. The thing is, wanting ANYTHING is STS and this was the hardest part for me to accept in my spiritual journey. The small things we take for granted like wanting to have an good life or wanting not to die of some horrible disease are STS. This may sound like a terrible situation we're in here, but STS is our orientation here on 3D Earth and the first step is accepting that. The second step is changing it if that's your path. WANTING to be STO is actually STS, a common pitfall seen in well-meaning folks. The way to be truly STO is to do things absolutely naturally, to go with the flow of things, not manipulate others or ourselves, to live in the NOW of every moment and not ANTICIPATING anything, and most importantly to have a REALISTIC view of the world rather than what you wished it was.

Simply surrounding yourself with "love and light" is not going to change this world to a better place. Be HONEST with all your thoughts, and ACCEPT that 3rd density life on Earth can be a dreadful materialistic nightmare. Knowledge is the path to "enlightenment". Genuine love and caring comes as a result of knowing. Beware your greatest enemy, ignorance, since there's no such thing as "bad" or dangerous knowledge. Do your best to avoid falsehoods masquerading as truths, and good luck in your "soul questing"!

STS, STO, SOB... I don't know...
Do you REALLY need to categorize yourself with such exacting terms?

I've found that I pretty much (I'm not going to start listing crap) reside in the gray area on a global scale. Terms only help me understand things about myself (or whatever). In other words, I find terms that apply to some aspects of myself (or whatever) knowing full well that they might only represent or describe a singular aspect and that I shouldn't be concerned with describing everything perfectly.

Don't get hung up on that stuff.
