Jars started colinization!!!! DARK SPOTS?????

ok so my jars finally started colinizing today, but 2 of them have dark brown/black spots? what is this. contams????? what contam?

Black head mold. Get rid of it.

Don't be so hasty. How big are they? Sometimes spores can clump up and form small black spots.

one has a dark spot towards the top which is about the size of a penny. and the other jar has 2 towards the middle on oppisite sides and those are the size of a dime. im using 1 pint jars.

figured soo. its my fist grow soo it was kinda expected. while incubating should the caps be screwed on all the way, or left a little loose for air to move? i dont want ti spreading

I leave my lids snug until around 90% colonized or until they stall then loosen the lid. My jars are only 2/3 full usually and never seem to stall.

I leave my lids on tight until done. as long as the mix isn?t to packed in the jar and you keep your temps right you won?t have a problem.

could be black pin mold.
could be spores.
could be dark peices of Verm.

I also leave my lids on until 100% colonization. Don't worry about air exchange at this point. You should wait a little while longer, just to make sure the jars are contaminated.
