few quick questions

alright. Ive just about got two jars completely ready to be put in a terrarium. The first jar im going to leave it alone. The second jar Im going to try and make a casing. Ive got a few questions
1) will the casing be alright in 100% humidity? Ive read that the casing works best between 88 and 92% rh. Ill be using perlite to keep the humidity up. I know the cake will be alright, but will the casing? 2) When should I transplant the jar into the terrarium. Should I when pins start to form in the jar, or when its completely covered with mycelium. 3) Im planning on using x-mas lights to initiate pinning. The terrarium im using is a huge plastic Tupperware thing with perlite. the sides are clear but the top is not. Should I rap the lights around the outside and not worry about the top? Or should I place them inside the container and not worry about contamination.
thanks

I would not recommend the 100% humidity for the casing as they maintain a good percentage of humidity by themselves and this would overdo it. 100% is great for cakes.
personal preference but I like to birth a jar that I plan to fruit (as opposed to casing) when hyphal knots appear invtro. however, i do not allow it to be inside the jar, fully colonized, for more than 1.5 weeks.
i don't quite grasp the 3rd question but I can say you are far better off blocking light from the sides and generating light from the top when your casing. as for cakes, just wraping the ligts around the outside will work fine.

Yes, otherwise it would be overrun by contaminants

It won't have time to contaminate because the casing will be bone dry in just a few days.
