Hi everyone, welcome back to the NSW Shroom Season - 2010! That special time of year has finally come around again
Went out for a quick hunt today, and struck gold! These Subs were found in mountainous regions where it is now nice and cold, the recent rains have really kicked off the season nice and early! (Crappy pic quality due to my camera refusing to work, phone camera will do the job for now)

As always have a great season everyone, I am looking forward to seeing the regular hunters great pics over the next four months (Welcome back!), and of course welcome to all new NSW Hunters Please post your confirmed finds here, and plz try to keep your ID requests to a separate 'ID Request' thread Happy Hunting NSW!

Should change this ones title to "East coast shroom season 2010", then I can join in 8] (Even though my hunting area is pretty much on the border)

Awesome find, lots of rain in Vic I think but still really hot (30degrees C) though with the moisture in the ground its making it very humid... is that a good thing?
Anyhow I hope my patches turn up something this year

Nice find sanchez!! I remember you had a great year last year.. looks like you're in for another big one
I found my first ever subs in Sydney last autumn, and found my first ever cubes/cyans in Newcastle this week... I was never sure they grew this south right on the coast. still 30C here, hopefully can get some more cubies if we get some good rain soon.

Wow, awesome find man
I can't wait for the season down here in Tassie to start. I went hunting yesterday but couldn't find any actives yet. Hopefully we'll get some good rainy days soon.

Wow, this early, i guess it happens, but it always blows me out...
Your mushroom sense must have been tingling to get you out this early, at least it would for me, its definately still pasture season in the ISC region <3

Check for areas where the temps are dropping down to around 15 degrees max mean temperatures, with minimum temps of around 5 mean e.g about 1000-2000m altitude in the mountains. That would be your best bet to find them this early.
Thanks for the cool comments everyone, going for another hunt mid this week - will post more piccies soon

Cheers guys the season has only just kicked off, earliest I've found them so far. Usually nothing appears until about mid-April so I am stoked!
95% of the area has yet to start showing subs - Wait until the season gets going, I'll have even more piccies for you all
