Thankx Anno for the spores I was woundering if any body has any helpful info on growing Agaricus silvaticus and Macrolepiota procera. Both are from euorope Agaricus silvaticus grows on rotted forest floor in rich humus. So I think it wold do well on a straw and composted dung mix. I couldnt find any info on Macrolepiota procera other then it is from poland and it is called shaggy some? got a brain fart. Well I'll keep on searchin lookin for some info peace and light
I will be growing Portobellos this spring for the wife(sucess vital to continuation of MY hobby )Please let us know how you do with the silvaticus. If it is like bisporus that I've grown from kits(LOL)they are subject to contams once the mycelia gets a bit tired and rehydrating chunks and using it for spawn works only about half the time for me.But the freshly harvested mushies(I get small sping fruits in my feild now) are soo worth it.Good Luck,WR
