Hi guys,

Someone told be lately not to use any aluminium trays in the cultivation, he said that the mycelium could eat right through it. is this true?

yep learned first hand that it is true, mycelium will eat it quick...what i do now if i use a aluminum tray is line it with a plastic trash bag or a grocery bag depending on the tub size..

very true, just use a plastic bag as a lining to prevent this

I use them nut I place a trash bag liner in them as well.

I was gonna say something along that…

Why use/waste aluminium + plastic when you can use a pyrex/plastic tray, then wash it and use it again?

I'm not RR but I just used a couple of sheets of tin foil, poked with holes in 'em when I colonized kitty litter bins.

Cause I some times use like 12 quart sweater boxes but they come with lids.
