Is life reproduction?

Well I had some wacky ideas a few years back on a mushroom trip. Thought I would bring it here to see if it could hold some ground...
All I could think about was day and night form our life. Winter and summer. Male and female. Positive and negative energy forming atoms forming molecules...forming life. Though they really shouldnt be thought of as positive being beneficial, and negative being the opposite. The fact of the matter being they both exist and we are created from it. As if everything is reproduction from the male and female, to the life and death of a solar system, to the positive and negative energy that forms everything around us.
I would think life isnt a singularity. In order for life to exist, two must some together.

Ba-Zing!
OP reproduction is not limited to the sexual.
Although you make an interesting point, opposites only represent sex in your mind.
Positive and negative charges are not male and female.
What about the neutron?
Values like beneficial and detrimental are arbitrary.
I think you came up with a cool discussion topic when you wrote about how negative and positive are neither beneficial or detrimental but both are necessary.
Care to elaborate on this idea for us?

Please restrain your gayosity. The Large Hadron Collider is sacred science, not joke material.

I wasnt thinking necessarily that just sex between two opposites is reproduction. Nothing sexual at all really. That could be subjective to only human nature/our thought process. But it does take two to come together. Even with the positive and negative charges forming molecules, forming life. Well what about the neutron? A neutron alone forms nothing. Two energies must come together. Just a thought along the lines of the yin-yang. Two coming together that could represent anything really, but the short version being there is no singularity.
But then even that has it flaws all around. I.e. no matter its charge or position regarding the creation or death of anything, it "is". Positive and negative may be opposites in charge but they are both apart of everything that "is". That "is" is the whole that is everything. It is all one.
