casing substitution

is spaghum moss an okay subsitution for peat moss in a casing?

I sure hope so cause it's all I got.

ALSO, does walmart sell compost?  or any other marts?  I dont have access to dung or straw. :grin:

im not sure about your spaghum, but i know that walmar sells compost

they are not the same. sphagnum moss is actually moss. peat moss is not moss at all but is decomposed plant matter. i would not consider them interchangeable.

i thought it might be sort of interchangable because peat moss is sometimes sold as 'spaghum peat moss'

i'm wondering if verm by itself would be a better casing layer and spaghum/verm
