Which sleeping bag?

I'm looking for a hard wearing lightweight 3 season sleeping bag.. I don't really know where to start with it either. At the moment I'm currently rocking a British army standard issue sleeping bag but its very heavy and not particularly practical for travel on foot.
This is probably going to be used in conjunction with a bivvy sack & basha a fair bit, so if it offered some waterproofing, or at least water-repellent, it would be awesome.
As for price range I can probably afford to go up to £80-90 ($120-$135).. but if possible I'd like to spend less than that.

check out local sporting stores - i've found 15 degree sleeping bags for like $20. that plus a 6x9ft tarp would do nicely. whenever it'd get really cold i'd stuff some clothes near the bottom to keep my feet warm.

I always thought a mummy bag would be superior - but when i got one, i realized it doesn't work well with someone who sleeps on their side or stomach.
Next time i will probably purchase a barrel style bag, despite the disadvantages of less heat and more bulk.
Something to think about.

i had a regular style sleeping bag, it sucks cause there's nothing to rest your head on, plus the fact that it leaves your neck/head open to the air which causes you to need a scarf and head/face protection when it really gets cold.

For the record, we have a pair of Cat's Meow sleeping bags by REI. My wife and I got a matched set in left and right zip models so they can be zipped together comfortablly when we camp. Very nice!!!!
