Mini Cubensis? w/ PICS
    #1212297 - 01/12/03 03:08 PM (21 years, 1 month ago)

I found these in a cow pasture in Texas an hour from the gulf coast. Their fruits were around 2 inches total height. I did not see any obvious signs of a viel on the stem or on the underside of the cap, but i had to leave the scene quickly so I may have overlooked them.

Here they are in the wild

A specimen I made off with, the gills look black (maybe black spores)

I tried to take a print, but I was unsuccesful. I have more pics including spores at 400X magnification. I have unfortunatly used up all of my uploads for the day.
Help me out guys, throw me your questions.

I would assume and/or surmise that they are Psilocybe coprophila.

Are Psilocybe coprophila native to Georgia? I found what I assumed where miniature cubes on horse dung over the summer, but now I think it is highly likely they where in fact Dung Lover's.

In your first picture, there is a shroom on the verry left, laying on it's side...it's the shroom to the very left, with the longest stem pictured...IT DOES HAVE A VEIL...
WHITE, it looks like...You didn't examine very well...(I hope I see a veil anyways)
NICE FIND!
