Changing Mushrooms to Schedule II Narcotic

I am 100% going to try and put a case together to move the schedule of "magic" mushrooms down to a lower schedule. I have a federal case and am going to spend some time in prison anyway. I want to try while I can to try to plead my case to the government about why mushrooms do not deserve to be in the same class as heroin. I want to move them to a schedule II class.
Please,
I am pleading for your help for researching medicinal, religious, and any other studies from other countries that would help plead my case. Thank you.

Best of luck, and I hope your lawyer is on board with this.

Check out http://www.clusterbusters.com/, an excellent site about using mushrooms to treat cluster headaches.

i was going to mention that. schedule 1 drugs supposedly have "no medicinal value". shrooms help cluster headaches, so there ya go.
also, cocaine is sched 1. i do believe that most hospitals have medical grade cocaine to use as a local anesthetic. so why is coke in sched 1?

If you try something like this they are going to fall back on the fact that there is no recognized medical use, and they'll get a FDA shill to testify that there is no approved medical use for mushrooms.
Even if they buy that there is a medical use they'll fall back on the fact that it isn't an "approved" medical use in the US.
Sure it's BS, but it would be a very tough case to win.
Rather than try to prove medical use I'd try a "medical necessity" defense. Obviously it would be cruel and unusual to deprive you of the only thing that treats your debilitating cluster headaches and keeps you off of disability.
If they won't allow that defense then claim you are not fit to stand trial because of your condition.
You might end up the first person to legally be allowed mushrooms in the US. Remember that although MJ has "no medical use" there are several people that have been receiving MJ from the federal government for at least the last decade because they need it medically.
Good luck and I hope your case works out. Be sure to post updates here.

I hate to always be a downer, but I think this is pretty much the worst idea ever. Mushrooms are certainly a beautiful thing, but they are not medicinal and you know it.
