Shit I loved Atlanta when I lived there. Already more interesting than new york and the population is like half a million, I cant wait to see what that city looks like in a decade or two.

I've watched it grow for more than 30 years, I remember when the location of spaghetti junction was a clover leaf, I go back to gwinnett and so much has changed in just 7 years
the metro atlanta area is about 6 million now

Yea it changed while I was there. I lived in midtown and mainly hung out there, downtown and little 5 points / inman park area. I just loved the city, though I wish the metro was more robust. Some areas I liked Id need to walk a mile or more from the closest metro stop. Midtown was cool though as there was constant building going on, from when I first moved there to when I left. New buildings constantly being built, definitely a city on the move.
As for the population, the metro might be huge but the city wasnt. The downtown area was pretty small, which I liked as I could memorize all the streets in downtown and midtown, buckhead pretty easilly after a while. Ive lived in LA the rest of my life and frankly Ive never learned that city

the IBM tower stands where the MEPS center used to be, hell I could take you all over mid town, buckhead and down town and show you where everything was, I dont even recognize it now but I still get around the city pretty well, in light traffic I can get you from the fox at ponce out to snellville in about 15 minutes and only make 1 turn
you're right... atlanta is an easy city to live in

ha i never learned anything that wasnt connected to the metro unfortunately as I didnt have a car. I did like this blues bar to the west of Georgia Tech no where near marta in basically an industrial area, wild and very violent bar that had great music. I think it was by Bachanalia which is a very fancy restaurant which I always found odd. Not directly in that shopping center, a bit down the street next to an abandoned factory. Anyways Ive gotten drunk and am now longing for the past

How the fuck do you memorize the streets in Atlanta? That shit is conusing. Grid System ftw, downtown Savannah is setup up nicely.
@Pris, man Gwinnett is ridiculous now. I grew up in Duluth, I saw it go from white, to mexican, to korean. I'd be fuckin surprised if there's a single word of English on Buford Highway.
