    #12185064 - 03/11/10 05:51 PM (14 years, 20 days ago)

Just wondering what types of exotic pets you guys have.

I have an African Pygmy Hedgehog. They are considered exotic. Here is a picture of her. Her name is Lily.

What else do you guys have?

I used to have a hedgehog when I was in highschool that looked alot like yours.  She only had 3 feet though, and her name was Dudeman.

She loooooved her toilet paper rolls!

I designed a website for someone I knew. They go for around $125-175 for an unregistered one. If they are registered and have papers they are $250+.

Yeah, she is really friendly. I have only let her play with a tp roll once or twice as you are suppose to wait until they are a bit bigger. She's big enough now though. She LOVES mealworms though. If you give her one of those, she is your best friend.

Those geckos are cool as hell. I thought about getting a couple. I'd really like a jacksons chameleon though.

Yup, mean as fuck. It's just a trait of the species, they're incredibly aggressive and can be noisy. Before she got used to me she used to make that god awful bark/scream and get in defense posture whenever I got within 3 feet of her tank.

Her name is Mary, as in Queen Mary I of England(Bloody Mary).

Yeah, actually bred them, I'm waiting on the female to lay eggs.

I had a male for a while, but I had to put it down. I found some dude in The Bronx who wanted to get rid of one. The thing looked like shit from the day I got it. I'm guessing it was wild caught and it had a parasite, because no matter what I would feed it, he just kept getting skinnier and skinnier. I couldn't just sit back and let an animal waste away like that so he went to sleep in the freezer and never woke up

It's sad, but sometimes you gotta know when to be a friend to your pets and do the right thing.  Just had my dog of 11 years put down last week; it was a little depressing, but I was happy to see her relieved.
