Habitat: red mulch

Gills: The gill color varies from a white to a light pinkish color with a purplish on the edges. The gills are free.

Stem: Whitish, pretty fragile, slightly enlarged at base.

Cap: Whitish gray with brownish spots

Spore print color: white

Bruising: Light purple

Location: Coastal North Carolina USA

Kind of looks like Pluteus petasatus to me.  Give it a spore print and see if they are pink.

my initial thought was some kind of cort, as far as what kind idk.

With all the pinks and purples, and with a white spore print, I'm thinking Laccaria. Maybe Laccaria ochropurpurea.
