Waking Life is an excellent movie. I love how it was animated and the movie is amazing. I've watched this movie twice on DXM and stoned, and also sober..each and everytime i've enjoyed itvery much.

...each frame in waking life was hand-painted, with something like 20 different artists each doing hundreds of frames. fucking incredible movie, id recommend pretty much any richard linklater movie tho... slacker is a favorite... and requiem for a dream is just a TRIP. the book is even more intense, and takes place in a slightly different era...

I enjoyed waking life very much, but requiem for a dream was a little too depressing. I know that inteligent movies are not cookie cutter, but it was still depressing. I wouldnt watch it stoned.

Exactly...a MUST see

And by the way the film was filmed in real life with regular camera and rotoscoped...just to make this clear

I read somewhere that they took video of real people, and imposed color and art work over it. The people look really real in some parts, others not so real looking.

It's also good to watch if you are trying to Lucid Dream.

Yeah they did film it and then they rotoscoped it. Definitly a great idea for this movie..gives the feeling of a dream better then regular animation or regular film.
