The part where Stanley insists that he needs to drop acid onto his eyeballs to have visuals make me tend to think the old fella has gone a little goofy, bless his heart.

I don't know. The way he explained it, it seemed logical. He is an expert on LSD if there ever was one, don't forget.
I thought there were some pretty interesting things said in this interview. I wish I could find the first two parts.
I thought it was interesting that Owsley likes some techno, and that he thinks ecstacy is "bad stuff". I was shocked to read the interviewer state that he had talked to Terrence McKenna around this time, and that McKenna told him that he had never ever gotten high off LSD in his life!
All in all, this was a great interview, but i'd sure like to find the first two parts. If anyone's interested, Owsley's site can be found at www.thebear.org

Yes he was the master....As stated he was also the maker of the famous Wall of sound used by the Dead.
I love the way he described mushrooms and DMT as Body Heavy as compared to acid it is so true and I have been trying to find a way of expressing that for so long!

Yeah, I hope he makes acid again before he dies.
Although i'm sure the feds are watching him, even though he's in Australia.

Hell, a sheet of acid from him now would be a collector's item. I don't think I could bring myself to eat any of it. Well, second thought, sure I could. Heheh.

WHile the Bear does not like MDMA, he was the first major manufacturer of MDA int he Haight-Ashbury, producing one gram tablets with 8 to 10 does per tablet.
He spread that around the haight-ashburty scene and before to long it became known as the 'Love Drug.'
However, speed and smack overtook the streets of the Haight in March of 1968 and in June we celebrated the death of theHiie and the birth of the new man.
ANd of course the MDA was very popular for fucking among young and old asdults who lived the scene.
Mj. I myself have always loved MDA over X anyday. Ten straight hours of sex, raw and uninhibited is fine with me for MDA.

I think it's an excellent interview. The psychadelic stuff is really interesting. The global warming stuff is even more interesting. I love how he exposes the fallacy of both the misguided "environmentalist" agenda and the corporate face; Dupont, etc. It's cool to hear it from the perspective of an alchemical wizard like A.O.S.3. The stuff about diet is good too. I think he starts talking out of his ass toward the end though.
Thanks for the link!

Would love to read this
-------------------- Difficulty has more to do with reading abillity and ability to precisely follow directions. You need no knowledge of chemistry whatsoever, you just need to understand some basic principles as simple in concept as: water boils at 100C and freezes at 0C. Otherwise all published syntheses of organic and inorganic compounds can be reproduced successfully by pretty nearly anyone with at least average intelligence. Problems always have to do with availability of materials, not esoteric knowledge.
