ALRIGHT.. this is it
    #1217101 - 01/14/03 09:17 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

OKAY.. i bought 3 mycobags december 13th, inoculated them.. and now 1 of them is contamed with funny green stuff. 1 of them is about 50 percent and the other is 95... So today, i took the 95 percent one. and put it about 10 degrees lower downstairs next to a window... 4 hours later i got worried. I put it in my basement where its about 20 degrees colder... What should I do? should i just leave it in my basement near a window and wait? Or... is there something I can do to help it out? Its about 55-60 degrees in my basement.

don't know anything about mycobags, never used them and never will. that said, why did you cold shock a 95% colonized bag? did i miss something? are you concerend about contams? if it is contamed it is contamed. a cold shock won't fix that. as a matter of fact it seems like moving the bag to a basement is a good way to invite contams. maybe i'm just too ignorant of mycobags. are you trying to initiate pinning?

Wait until it's 100%, then wait another week, THEN you should be good to initiate pinning. If you pin now your more likely to have it go green and won't get the yeild, or possibly won't even get decent mushrooms.

B+ doesn't really need a coldshock to begin pinning. I would just expose it to light and wait. B+ is REALLY easy to make pin. It will pin when it's ready.
