Well if it was big, it's prolly worked it's way all inside of the substrate and it's just gonna eat it's way out again... quarantine it in a 2-Liter bottle terrarium and try to save it, if you want. It's prolly shot though...
There's always next batch!
Trich is a hard battle to win, but you might can save it (I'm not that experienced in how to deal with contams like trich, and I don't know much about them, post in the contamination forums for more help)

I would not do either and bury it outside.
Keep and eye on it if you want to keep it

Might as well keep it now, if it doesn't turn green in a couple of days. I would say the most damage is done, sorry if I'm a little bleak.

don't throw that away. there's still a great chance it will give you a perfectly good flush. try fanning your tubs to prevent this in the first place.

I just had a trich problem in my 3rd flush mono, and I sprayed the trich spot liberally with bleach then put some salt on it. It killed the myc surrounding the area but my fruits on the other side of the tub are fine. It's been maybe 5 days or so and there isn't any sign of trich. But it is a really hard contam to beat, I'm sure it's still in my tub and if I didn't have fruits halfway developed I'd just pitch it. Usually only scraping it doesn't help all that much, but it might have worked out in this case. You might want to put some sort of casing material over the exposed substrate though

you can always put it outside and just go check on it daily - I throw all my spent shit outside and contamed or not - they usually squeeze out some fat puppies for a couple more weeks at least.
