crock pot sterlization
    #12161102 - 03/07/10 10:22 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

Hello.
So i was reading on here about sterlizing with a crock pot and some people said it would work and some said it wouldnt. So its been 5 days since i injected the spores. i did 2 jars in the crock pot. these are actually my first 2 jars i ever tryed. I used verm and brown rice. I used hole brown rice not the flower couldnt find it and didnt have a blender here. I followed the steps for the PF tek guide. my homie stoped by today. and he said that they were colinzing but they are going slow. I am using a strand of golden teachers i got off raphlspores or something like that. There are no contaims yet. So i thought about sharing this with everyone else that is interested in this method i will post another update in about 3 or so days and i will tell u how everything is going

Flour works better than whole rice- but it sounds like you're doing ok.
Two jars is all that fit in the crockpot?

Give this a look http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11585613/fpart/1

use a pot with a tight fitting lid. All it takes is a simmer and 90 minutes

Crock pot is that. Other than being small, it's not a bad idea.

well i kinda have to use a crock pot cause i am still living with my parents even tho i am 18. and atleast one is home so i never have time to go into my kitchen and use a pot and lid cause they would find out.
so i kinda have to use the crock pot and plug it into my outlet in my room so i can not get caught

Would this be better than boiling on stove cause sometimes that shit boils over and its usually a messy ordeal lol.  Crock pots dont boil though do they?
